Boost your metabolism, FIRST!

-When your best friend rings for a long chat, walk round the house while you are talking, go up and down the stairs, walk round the room, just keep pacing around. You will soon burn off some calories without even thinking about it.

-After you’ve been to the supermarket, before you empty your shopping bags, put one in each hand (make sure they are fairly even and challenging to lift) and do some lunges and squats. That will help with toning your legs and bum and burn off a few calories.

-Put some extra effort into the housework – cleaning windows, polishing furniture, vacuuming, cleaning the bath are all great calorie-burning activities. Put on your favourite music and work to the rhythm – it will make the time pass more quickly and you will put more effort in.

-Don’t forget the gardening. Not only will you benefit from the fresh air, but you can get a great cardio workout by digging, weeding, mowing the lawn.

-For a great cardio workout, hold a towel at both ends and expand your chest, do this a few times each day and you will soon feel the benefits
